I just finished a light restoration on this absolutely awesome Ram Charger!

The previous owner said that most of the restoration was done around 5 years ago. The PA title shows the miles as exempt because of the age of the truck but it wouldn’t surprise me if the miles are correct at 74,850 as there are many original items that are factory correct. This fine Ram Charger provides an excellent example of an all purpose truck for shows, cruises and cruising!

A restoration of this caliber takes a lot of time, patience and money to be done correct. Please understand this is not your average “driver” condition Ram Charger!

I typically restore or finish around 8-10 Mopars a year and have been working on them for more than 30 years and I do everyone as they were my own to keep. I put a lot of time, effort, pride and money in the cars that I offer for sale which is evident when viewing one of my cars compared to others for sale. I do a lot of the small things with great attention to detail that most people overlook or don’t know how to fix it correctly.

PAINT, BODY AND FRAME
The body, paint and panels are very straight and in extremely nice shape and appear to be the original sheet metal! The floor boards, doors, fenders, quarters and hood are all in great shape. The inside edges of the doors are excellent and the door jam paint looks fantastic! The doors open and close with ease and the seams are excellent. The frame is in excellent shape and the undercarriage is also very clean and neat with no apparent rust and has been cleaned and coated with a paint grade extremely nice undercoat. The base coat/clear coat paint I believe is around 5 years old and looks absolutely beautiful! There are only a few very small paint stone chips that were brush touched. Even the engine bay paint looks extremely nice and was done right! All in all the paint is absolutely beautiful!!! After wet sanding and buffing the entire truck you would honestly think that it was just painted. The super high-gloss deep clear coat shine was just professionally wet sanded with 1500, 2000 and 2500 grit paper to achieve a high caliber ultra finish. This long process alone took over 60 hours and the finish shows it!

GLASS, CHROME AND TRIM
The windshield is newer along with the gasket and brand new chrome trim and looks great! The driver side door glass has a few small scratches as well as the passenger side door but look very good for factory glass. The large side glass and rear window only have very minor marks and look to in great condition for original glass! The front and rear bumpers have been replaced and are in excellent condition. The trim pieces are super clean and were polished for optimum shine. The front grill appears to be in very nice original condition with no cracks.

INTERIOR
The tan interior is in very nice shape and has been restored. Some newer items are the carpet, front seat covers, sill/scuff plates, restored door panels, rear gate weather stripping, cigar lighter, cleaned up wiring and rebuilt dash cluster. The dash cluster is in very nice condition and all factory gauges work and operate correctly. All lighting works as should including the high/low beams, dome light, reverse lights, tail lights, parking lights, turn signals, four-way flashers, map light, and license plate light. The fan motor, wipers, horn, and E-brake all work. I also cleaned and or replaced the following: fuse box, fuses, wire ends and connectors, bulkhead, light bulbs and sockets, switches, dash circuit board and much more!

DRIVE TRAIN
The excellent running 318 is a 1993 magnum motor that was freshened up with some minor upgrades (done years ago by the previous owners). It has an Edelbrock RPM aluminum intake, Mopar aluminum valve covers and air cleaner, header’s and is top off with an Edelbrock carb. The magnum 318 makes good power and runs excellent. This engine runs extremely smooth and very easy to drive in any given traffic condition. It has a very good idle and excellent off idle throttle response.

The 4-speed transmission shifts excellent through the gears and is an absolute blast to drive! I believe the New Process 435 4-speed is original as the codes are date coded correct for the year. The Ram Charger has excellent drivability and cools well even in stop and go traffic. This excellent drive train combo runs and drives awesome in all conditions whether highway or city driving.

The 9 1/4 rear-end has 3.23 gears and brand new 80/90 oil, gasket and chrome differential cover! It has the Dana 44 front axle with the factory locking hubs. The wheels are American Racing 15” with Yokohama 33×12.5 R15” tires. The Ram Charger also has the larger 35 gallon factory fuel tank. The 4 wheel drive works as should and has the factory locking hubs.
