Mechanicals: Mechanically, the truck is in superb condition and it starts, stops and drives exactly as you would expect. It starts easily, every time, and the engine runs cool even in the heat of the 100+ degree Texas summers. The clutch is strong, the transmission shifts smoothly with no grinding or odd noises, and the truck brakes easily and in a straight line. There are no oil leaks or smoking from the engine. The truck shows no signs of previous collision or accident damage and is as clean and solid as its low mileage suggests. Everything in the truck works as it should – lights, switches, wipers, gauges, everything. The truck is, of course, numbers-matching and maintains its original engine and transmission. Exterior: From every angle, the truck presents beautifully. The original red paint is in outstanding condition – deep and glossy without checking or signs of deterioration – and there are no dents or significant flaws with the paint appearing closer to 36 days old than 36 years. The rubber seals, trim, emblems, decals, lenses and exterior hardware are all absolutely beautiful.  The truck is almost entirely original paint as evidenced by the extensive service records and the results of a professional paint metering examination (please see the results in the online photo album). The only exception is the driver side front fender which the paint meter shows to have been repainted sometime in the past but the work was professionally done, is virtually invisible to the naked eye, and can only be detected by a professional paint meter. In my years of collecting classic cars, I have rarely seen a vehicle of this vintage in more pristine condition or one that presents closer to new. The cosmetics of this truck will exceed your expectations.
